Sense the Unseen

Just before morning

The frozen Earth still

Dark skies above him

No wind, but a chill

Walking an old path

Center rutted in deep

Out in the cities

People wake from their sleep

Night now behind him

Tomorrow ahead

His body well cloaked

His stomach well fed

He journeys alone

He's left it behind

Come way out here

To help clear his mind

The unknown keeps calling

The quiet serene

The call of the wild

To sense the unseen
